My Mom and The Girl is a short film based on filmmaker, Susie Singer Carter's journey caregiving for her Mother, Norma, who lived with Alzheimer's for 16 years. It's a film that comes with an important mission: to change the conversation about Alzheimer's.
Starring the unforgettable Valerie Harper in her final performance, My Mom and the Girl resonates across generations and cultures, authentically portraying a difficult subject in such a way that makes audiences laugh and fills them with hope at the same time.

About Susie Singer Carter
Susie Singer Carter is a multi-award-winning filmmaker and Alzheimer’s/Caregiver Advocate. A mother, a daughter, and a native Angeleno with two parents who left their mark in the music industry and was once in a pop band called “TWO CHIX” produced by TV’s Chuck Lorre.
In her advocacy, Susie has been featured in many Alzheimer’s Awareness campaigns and serves as the Caregiving.com Champion Ambassador for Los Angeles, California and is a frequent guest on other industry podcasts, talk shows, industry panels, and conventions.
