Welcome to AlzAuthors! We're the global community of authors writing about Alzheimer's and dementia from personal experience to light the way for others. We believe that sharing our stories makes us stronger, and our goal is to share much needed (and hard-earned) knowledge to those currently on their own journeys. Founded in 2015 by three daughters of dementia, we are now a volunteer team of nine passionate and compassionate volunteers who have each shared our dementia journeys in books.
We provide a trusted collection of more than 350 books, blogs, podcasts, and films written by former caregivers, those living with dementia, and those working in dementia care. All are vetted by the management team (authors and caregivers) to ensure quality. You'll find a variety of resources in several genres: non-fiction, memoirs, caregiver guides, fiction, books for children and teens, art books, poetry, and more. We cover many situations, such as caring for a mother, father, grandparent, partner or spouse, and different types of dementia, including Alzheimer's, Lewy Body, vascular, frontotemporal, and mild cognitive impairment.
