For years, the home care industry has talked about the caregiver shortage as if the workforce we need exists somewhere outside the homes we serve. We look to recruitment campaigns, job boards, hiring incentives, training programs and retention strategies. All of those matter. But there is another group we often overlook, even though they are doing much of the work every day.
