Providing Independence and Care
When providing care for a loved one, our top priority is to ensure that all their needs are met and that they are safe. Sometimes, as caregivers, we may automatically do things for our loved ones, like turning on lights, opening doors, and cooking meals. Unless our loved one asks us to do these things or cannot do them for themselves safely, we need to take a step back and allow them the chance to do things on their own.
