Caro is co-founder of Tech-enhanced Life, a Public Benefit corporation with the mission of improving the quality of life of the aging and their families. He is also CEO of TangibleFuture, Inc., an interventional management consultancy.<\/p>\n<p>Tech-enhanced Life is a Public Benefit corporation with the mission of improving the quality of life of the aging and their families. Tech-enhanced Life:<br \/>\n\u2022 creates insights for older adults and their families, published at www.techenhancerdlife.com;<br \/>\n\u2022 provides advisory services for companies \u2014 who want to develop products and services that older adults actually want, and need; and<br \/>\n\u2022 enables, and lead the Longevity Explorers: a unique sharing, evaluation, and ideation community\u2014 made up of older adults (in their 60\u2019s, 70\u2019s, 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s), and their friends, families, and caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>Richard\u2019s prior experience includes operational roles in high tech companies in Silicon Valley and Boston. He was CEO (founder) of Vital Insite, a venture-backed, medical device start-up, developing noninvasive monitoring products; Engineering Program Manager at Coherent, one of the world\u2019s largest laser manufacturers; and CTO (employee #5) of Summit Technology, a pioneer in the laser refractive surgery (LASIK) business. Before entering industry, he was a member of the research staff at Stanford University.<\/p>\n<p>Richard has been responsible for development of a number of successful products; has 24 issued patents; and received a Ph.D in Physics from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
