Those experiences sowed the seeds that would later lead Catie to a career in nursing, with the majority of her experience being as a registered nurse case manager in home health, serving seniors and their families. Catie also pursued a doctorate in nursing where she developed research and education skills.<\/p>\n<p>When her dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 neck cancer in 2012, Catie saw from the patient side of the bed how truly overwhelming healthcare and senior care were.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Catie is working with graduate nursing students and community organizations to boost the healthcare workforce for senior adults in southern Nevada.
