As a volunteer educator for the Alzheimer\u2019s Association, she brings her experience as a caregiver for her dad, who was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. She published her first book, \u201cDancing With Lewy\u201d, narrating their experience. Her second book, \u201cRemarkable Caregiving: The Care of Family and Friends\u201d is a collection of true stories from six caregivers thrust into unplanned circumstances as they emerge wiser and more resilient. Nancy is also a member of AlzhAuthors.<\/p>\n<p>Nancy issues a monthly newsletter, \u201cCaring for the Caregiver\u201d, blogs about caregiving, and communicates to caregivers in social media and in person. She offers workshops, keynote talks and webinars offering true life stories and practical tools for caregivers. She just completed a series of four Christian Education classes at her church based on \u201cRemarkable Caregiving.\u201d They explored ways of developing sensitivity and support for caregivers, fulfilling the scripture \u201cBear one another\u2019s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.\u201d (Galatians 6:2)<\/p>\n<p>A lifelong resident of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, Nancy and her husband John raised two sons and continue to contribute to their communities. Professionally Nancy is a Contracts and Compliance Manager where she utilizes her writing and negotiation skills to support the mission of a non-profit corporation.
